I would need to know details about the ownership structure of the finance company, but it smells like a leveraged takeover. I imagine the destability of TV income and tax implications inspired the design.

Makes some sense in theory if they are anticipating investing in a new stadium.

Re shareholder approval then the key is getting 75% approval which I am certain would be the case if the above is true. With that the purchaser would seek a scheme of arrangement prior to acquisition to gain full control.

Well played sir, they're all fretting over where in Sefton the new ground will be

think its a WU

Firstly this report looks like a google translation of part of a document.

However if the reports are true then this is a leveraged acquisition.

49.4% of Everton would be owned by Moores and a third party.

The other 50.6% would be initially owned by a fund of some sort. I am assuming the fund would sell shares each year to Moores and maybe the other party. In return for financing the initial purchase it seems like the fund would receive interest payments in addition to the purchase price of the shares each year.

These costs would be funded out of the tv rights monies received by Everton for the next 7 years.

I have no idea whether the report is true or accurate.
Yep, looks grim reading that.
How would a fund own 50+ % - it would mean the minority being involved in it surely?

Just scanned through the last few pages and it's all a bit depressing. The idea of being bought by people who can't afford to buy the club so will be using borrowed money to be paid off using future TV revenue is a recipe for disaster

If this is the deal that has been brokered by the self-proclaimed best salesman of the club, it will confirm what we all suspected that he was only ever in it for the money. These new owners are not gonna give us a shiny new stadium and I really can't see how this sale can be a good thing

I hope this is deliberate misinformation, the type politicians put out, so that when the true details are made public there's a collective sigh as it isn't as bad as the 'leak'.
No to carpetbaggers wanting to rape 'our' club
