Hitler invades PolandWhat's the news? Have I missed something?
Not doubting you or your information? But can you or anyone please explain to me why the two wealthiest owners probably in world football would baulk at any evaluation...let alone probably around the 200m mark? And it was between us and City who they bought, without a shadow of doubt Bill's asking price put them off.
Bill and Wyness met with QIA who bought PSG aswell, and I know for a fact Bill's valuation was baulked at by them and they left the table.
300m? Surely that isn't right.Kenwright and his cronies were asking for 300m, I doubt the City owners cared much for a new stadium, they'd have built their own lavish ground no problem to their own spec.
If the asking price had been more realistic from Kenwright we may very well be sat where City are now.
There's a right way to win, and then there's throwing money at mercenaries who have no respect for the team or its history. If we're going to win the latter way, then yeah, I'll pass.
I agreeNot doubting you or your information? But can you or anyone please explain to me why the two wealthiest owners probably in world football would baulk at any evaluation...let alone probably around the 200m mark?

Was that not the time we were, once again, bound by an exclusivity agreement with Knowsley County and that ridiculous Kirkby fiasco, so turned them away? Or are my timelines all wrong?I agree
City was ready made to move in and also had the accompanying land to build thier vision
We had....well nothing in place

He quoted QIA £280m, and that didn't really put them off, I have it on good authority QIA came away from the meeting with Bill and Wyness with the feeling that the club was not really for sale. Not doubting you or your information? In a nutshell this, these Arabs may not miss a billion or two if they lost it down the back of the sofa but they aren't mugs.Being taken for mugs by no marks perhaps?
Do us a favour mate. Name a few sides who've done it the right way in any league over the past 20years. Tar
Tranmere have never had cash mateYou could go a lot further back than 20 years and see reports of clubs 'buying the league'. In fact, I think there was a certain club from Merseyside that may have been accused of doing something very similar in the 1960's.
