If they do go though with this i cant see it haveing much of an effect on everton .. I dont think these American chaps really have the money to back the club they are investors .. I dont think they put that much money into the baseball team, yes they built them a new ground and once it was done they flogged the club on for a profit.

I think if they do give bill 200 million they will spend some cash on the ground and a few bits but i cant really see them giving out a transfer kitty. maybe tell us we can keep the tv money and use that.

Also im sure someone will correct me but what happends to the £60m debt (might be more) does that need to be paid off before the sale goes though or does it transfer over to the new oweners as the the debt is under Everton and not Kenwright?

Think the debt can be reflected by the price

So they are going to buy us, build a stadium for us then try and sell us. But they will not buy any players to make us better. Doesnt really make sense to me.

All businesses I have bought and sold (usually asset sales but occasionally share sales) contractually include the vendor undertaking to clear all (by or on settlement date) creditor items (bank debt, trade creditors etc). Usually said parties have security charges registered (at Companies Office) and these must be released to ensure clear title. In share transactions where this might sometimes proves problematic, the liability might be assumed by the purchaser (with an obvious adjustment to the consideration paid).
As regards debtor items remaining past settlement date, 'escrow' bank accounts collect monies due the vendor (past settlement date). I'm supposing though that said items could be monetised/novated and thus 'owned' by the purchaser, but, due to the short term nature of my balance sheet debtors I have not personally encountered this.

Even if the on-field results don't change significantly and they sell on after a new stadium is built, we would still be in a better place than we are now.

A much better position. I don't think that is any buyers plan though. The more successful the team is the money they can make.

Not sure our Manager would agree with this statement, any investment they make will come from our transfer fund.

Depends on how much money is behind new ownership when they come in. Considering the current owners don't put anything into the club and there was still a nearly £50M net spend the last two years, they may be able to redevelop and enhance the team at the same time.

I suspect they will invest the same amount of money as the current board.
