Didn't really work out that way for Wigan when they won the FA Cup and got relegated in the same Season ten years ago.

I wouldn’t take the FA Cup and Relegation. We must stay in the PL

Wigan, Portsmouth and Birmingham have all won a cup, gone down and not returned. I wouldn’t trade in a sole cup win at the expense of relegation. Especially in our financial situation.
