...as soon as he signed I backed him to get in the Euro squad. I know I’ve been banging on about him being CB, but I’m sure Ancelotti was as keen as me to get him in there. He’ll make mistakes, though, so be patient.

Clearly Doucoure makes a big difference, but the team looks so better balanced with Sigurdsson playing in the Sigurdsson position. As I said after the Newcastle game, Rodriguez didn’t play in the Sigurdsson position. He was too deep and there was a void behind DCL. DCL much more involved tonight.

Not over, though, I just fear we’ll settle for this as we did at Fulham. We still have to have a threat, don’t sit back.

I feel like this is what it was like at the beginning of the year, we've just forgotten since it was so long ago.

We were sussed out by teams after that early purple patch and as a result haven't had any space in the middle of the pitch. Bielsa's another one without a plan B so we can play the way we want today.

This. We know that the Wall works, now it’s about using Digne to best effect....Great to see both Holgate (who I never rated a year or so ago) and Godfrey (who looks so at home) back in the side.....Coleman should be on the bench.....
