Barkley, Cleverly, Naismith, Kone and McCarthy could likely all start against Watford. That's the spine of our attack and midfield.

Rom has a hamstring injury. We probably won't see him till the 3rd game of the season at the earliest.

Don't kid yourself. Our main problem last season was creating chances and this pre-season hasn't shown any reason to believe that is likely to change.

Bet you he plays tomorrow because he hasn't done anything to his hamstring.

It wiill be interesting to see how Mr Eyebrows with his nice brown shoes manages to gel this all together over the next week. Hopefully his master plan will all click into place.

Browning was quality today, think he looks ready him. Pennington good too but think he'd do well at a Championship club this season on loan.

I'd love to know why Oviedo gets loads of love from fans but Kone's our most hated player, when apart from that one goal at Old Trafford both their Everton careers have been pretty much the same. Both try hard and both have had awful luck with injuries but are either good enough? I don't think so. One of them smiles and tweets loads about Everton and the other doesn't, that's probably the difference isn't it?

One positive was Barkley attempted a couple of through balls to the forward sadly it was to Kone and Naismith, hopefully it's something he continues to work on, people forget today he was a senior in a young side and had to shield an inexperienced back 4 so couldn't have been making those surging runs like he can do. Had stones and Jags been behind him he would have been more effective

No chance. They're not arsed, we'll put a shift in and get 2/3. They've lost a good number of players too.
They were bought by a billionaire and are in the champions league. I haven't really followed who they've bought but if they've lost players (I know they lost Denis Cheryshev) I'm sure they've replaced them with quality.

They might show up and might not but they problem is we are a very easy team to play against in friendlies because we aren't aggressive and allow teams to play the way they want. They could as easily turn on the style and hammer us similar to what Arsenal did.

Except they all weren't on the pitch together. Kone won't start, Rom is fine for Watford by all accounts. Barkley Cleverly and Mccarthy will be the starts out of that lot. I'm not kidding myself, I just prefer not to lose my mind over a preseason friendly with a mostly u21 team playing when we have another game tomorrow, too each their own

With a max of 3 playing at the same time. Never going to make a massive difference against a Championship side. It was minutes in the tank for them and experience for the youngsters

Provided he got regular game time, this could work. But if he was only getting ten minutes every five or six games it would stifle his development.
Agree it is a bit of a gamble on Ty getting game time but given Coleman has had hamstring issues in the past and our current luck with the damn things I'd prefer us to rest Seamus a little more than we have done in the past - especially since he also plays the international games with Ireland.

At least you can sell Leeds on the spread for the Championship at a neat price now. I mean they only beat a team with a load of kids at the back and a kidologist in nets.

PS I still f***ing hate Dirty Leeds (The White S***e).
