Man City are 4-0 down at half time to Stuttgart. These games don't really count for much. It all about fitness. Half the team was youth and most likely the first time they've played with one another.

I'd love to know why Oviedo gets loads of love from fans but Kone's our most hated player, when apart from that one goal at Old Trafford both their Everton careers have been pretty much the same. Both try hard and both have had awful luck with injuries but are either good enough? I don't think so. One of them smiles and tweets loads about Everton and the other doesn't, that's probably the difference isn't it?

True this and something Everton fans are bad for, there are other good examples, Naismith vs Barkley for instance. Kone coming from Wigan didn't help, plenty decided he was no good before he even kicked a ball, a lot did the same with McCarthy but he proved them wrong, Kone hasn't really had the chance to because of injury, but maybe he hasn't got the ability but even if he had the fans wouldn't like him. Valid point you make.

Performance wise i'm sure they've played better than us in pre season. We're doing the same things as last year, crab football with slow passes no runs and too predictable. The score I don't care about but the performance was poor (again!).

I know Howard should have done better with the goals, Stones never performed and Jags wasn't at the races. Coleman wasn't attacking as much as usual and Baines seems lost without peinaar. Lukaku should have made himself more available and Barry was not dominating the midfield at all. I mean they should be doing better against a team like Leeds.

I am getting pretty annoyed with naismith and barkley tbh. They score goals great but how can you get paid that much or even consider being a temp. Captain for everton and not get the basics right. When dowell came on vs dundee and used some decent technique to actually play football I can see naismith actually putting some effort when he had the ball..because a 17 year old was showing him up.

would understand if it is something to do with his acl or his style but there is some really awful crap from naismith. Kone has better technique and passing than naismith ! , goals are goals fair enough but come on naismith

martinez insists the £28m striker has not suffered a hamstring problem as first feared but, instead, was experiencing muscle fatigue.
