Just woke up. Jeez did I have some weird dreams...lol at Sigmund reckoning he could interpret those things.
Anyway, how was the game?

It's not the result I am bothered about. The only real opposition we have faced are Stoke and Arsenal ..... we failed to score in open play against Stoke and Arsenal played us off the park and ...... we looked like we were 3 weeks behind them in fitness.

True this, very worried we have made the same mistake as last season. The idea of having back to back pre season games is also beyond stupid, we have more or less thrown a fixture away because we can't play a realistic formation on any part of the pitch, so what will we leant this weekend? How much closer to the start of the season will these two games get us? We have a real hard start to the season but have to play academy kids in one game, that should of been a test, because we have another game 24 hours later, nice one Roberto.

3 goals from open play in 5 games against mainly mediocre sides.
conceded 6
prem players not being able to out run , out muscle or outplay lower league players.
a real lack of penetration and shooting in the final third
only 1 senior cb , only 1 prem quality striker , 3 of our 4 natural widemen injured.
looking at a nightmare fixture list until november

yea , we are in fine shape and should be optimistic for a phenomenal season ahead.

City have conceded 4 against Stuttgart....

No Leeds United, but then again we aren't Man City.

So what does it tell you?

OK mate.

Anyone who thinks our pre season performances suggest anything other than a season just like the one gone by needs a reality check.

Mate what does it matter. The games we won in pre-season were also ridiculed because apparently anyone could beat them. Lets start criticising if we have a bad start to the season.......then it will be justified. Maybe players were under instruction not to tackle too much incase of injury or not to exert 100%.....we don't know but what we do know is they are being brought up to fitness and match sharpness for what counts the most and that is the PL season. We must reserve criticism for the important games when justified.

The biggest mistake we made was letting Steve TASHJIAN go.

Why are some of our fans so obsessed with this Everton themed doomsday nonsense?

Friendly games have never and will never be about anything more than fitness and giving a few fringe/youth players a run out.

I wonder how devo'd Juve fans were at loosing on pens to us a few years back as they strolled to their Nth league title in a row?
