3 of those games have been away from home and we got 1 point from the corresponding games last season and were well beat at home by at least one promoted team.

It’s not like it’s all roses and optimism but we are coming from a very long way back.

Absolutely. No need to panic here. Gana in, Maupay in, Dom back from injury (and not missing significant time again later) and this team is not in a relegation battle at the end. Add one more decent attacker in the next two days and I'm even more confident.

You can see improvement overall. They're also showing a better fighting attitude more consistently so far. Last year we lose both of these last two. Get the goal-scoring sorted (hopefully underway), and we'll be fine.

I would prefer a midfielder. Somebody like the american guy in Leeds midfield.

We sold Richarlison and thus far have brought in Brightons third choice striker as our only attacking reinforcement who has yet to lace them up because we couldn’t even get that signing done right in time even though Frank was led to believe he’d be available.

Bare in mind though the other positions we have strengthened, but I must agree getting a striker sooner was a must, I still think we are waiting on a Broja decision but that is a risky move waiting.

I'm guess I wouldn't know any different since my only root for Everton, but we have to be one of the most unlucky teams in all of sports. Between injuries, VAR, not scoring on good chances, and just general ref decisions (see missed corner tonight), we haven't caught a break in the 5 years I have been watching. I can't even imagine what's it's like for you old timers.
