Hard point earned. Leeds dominated us and boss our midfielders.

5 at the back or 3 man midfield, it looks like we'll be dominated by opposition, considering we did put out our "best" midfielders out there today.

Patterson, to me, still defensively naïve but did well mostly today and bail us out a few times. So, he got my vote. McNeil's best game as he was tasked to do more defensive work. Mykolenko is a very solid LB choice now. Onana did well but lose possession a few times - we could really use a solid No. 6.

Gray is lively but clearly not a no. 9. Tried his very best and his work rate today is his best yet. We will look better as a squad when Maupay, DCL available.

I really hope we sign two more midfielders because clearly FL does not trust Allan and Andre Gomes. Another striker will be lovely but I rather us have options to control the midfields especially to help close out games or produce a bit of magic in the middle or the park. But knowing our recruitment, I wouldn't be surprise we signed nobody on deadline day.

It’s telling that we now leaders on the pitch- Tarkowski was straight over to help Gordon out with Coady not far behind. That will help us ground out some much needed draws and wins across the season, compared to the weak willed team we put out most games last season,
Think having DCL or another number 9 will make a massive difference. The ball just kept coming back at us today and made it hard to relieve pressure. Even if DCL isn’t scoring he can at least hold the ball up and bring others in to play- e.g the Iwobi goal against Newcastle next season.
I know we haven’t won yet- but last season we were picking up points early on without really playing well, leading to that horrendous run through to January. I’m seeing evidence this season that we’ve got the players and mentality to be far more solid and not go on such an awful downward spiral.

That’s a good point, they’re a difficult side especially at home under the lights.

Onana and Iwobi did really well recovering the ball and had some decent moments progressing it, throw in Gueye and a striker who can hold the ball up and those transitions become dangerous.

Hopefully the no subs shows the board we need signings. We could definitely do with another CM and forward especially with 5 subs and packed fixtures.

McNeil was frustrating on the ball but was equally frustrating for Leeds and Harrison in particular defensively, he put a shift in. As did Gray out of position working hard.

Great finish from Gordon and could have had two assists. At this stage in the window we have to keep him unless they offer a direct replacement such as Pulisic in the deal

With Allan & Gomes It.might not be that he doesn't trust them, could be more that they have moves lined up and can't risk them.incase an injury stops the move
