Normally the deadline for registering a player is noon the day before the game, right? Is it possible that because of the bank holiday yesterday, the registration deadline for this game would have been maybe Friday? Which we clearly missed, as he wasn't eligible for Saturday either.

So missing that Friday deadline cost us two games instead of just one?

Well yes that's fine saying, but the club had 3 weeks knowing Dom was injured so it doesn't wash
