don't know about the rest but I'd have thought Vardy's career probably accounts for his fitness and work ethic

On Friday night on the national news on BBC they had a feature about Leicester City. On Friday. They couldn't even win it this weekend.

As much as people are wound up and frustrated by Leicester, you could just as easily take heart from the fact it only takes a handful of good players to make something happen, provided the rest of them are prepared to do their jobs professionally.

Replace McCarthy with Kante and Barry with a passer such as Drinkwater, and this Everton team would perform drastically better.

Obviously you also need a manager capable of working on a game by game basis; not some lazy chancer, content to hide behind an abstract philosophy.
