The greatest reason for wanting Leicester to win the Premier League is that it should serve as a great inspiration to any would-be challengers including Everton.

Surely any self-respecting manager and player will look at the achievements of Leicester this season and say to themselves "if they can do it, so can we".

There's some great lessons to be learned from Leicester this season, a settled side, they know their game and each know their role in the side, a manager who is tactically astute and prepares his players to adapt tactically as game conditions demand, and above all else a manager who understands the psychology of winning, takes pressure of his players and gives them belief.

Ranieri - manager of the year without doubt.

For me that's another reason to want them not to win it.

Everton should not be needing Leicester City as inspiration for absolutely anything.

Again, for me.

Given we are so short of inspiration at present we should seek it from any source - I do take your point though, we should not need inspiration from external sources.

What an achievement. Well done to the team and manager for pulling it off. The league is going to Leicester and it's well-deserved.

As many have been saying for months, if a great team spirit and self-belief can see a side with players like Danny Simpson and Marc Albrighton in it walk the league, then it shows that all 20 teams have a chance if they really want it. It has to be inspiring players and managers alike in the PL and hopefully we'll see Everton and other sides shake the top 4 up further in future.

So you would prefer Man U, Chelsea, Man City or Arsenal to win the title? Lets just further consolidate the grasp these teams have on the league.

No, I would prefer someone outside the establishment win it (with a couple of notable exceptions). Obv, I would prefer it to be us, but in our absence, Leicester are making a pretty good stand in. I mean come on....one of the favorites for relegation at the beginning of the season, to looking like being League Champions........pretty epic stuff if you ask me.

Yes I'd rather that.

You are mental mate :)

Nope, for me, anytime the big guns aren't winning is a good time for the rest of the league. I would prefer Everton to be subject to that type of attitude, as it would mean we were winning it all. However, in all honesty, I would prefer a more competitive league where any team could win any given match, and the end of season results don't match the pre-season predictions.

Leicester winning it is much better for the league than the usual suspects taking the crown again.

I'm not so sure it is. But hey.

How is it not though?? Just saying "I'm not so sure it is" doesn't mean anything. Tell us why!!

Because I already have in here mate and don't want to keep repeating it.

But for me it will make the 'usuals' even more determined to not let this happen again.

If anything it makes it even harder for us.

Fair enough....just 89 pages of this thread. Care to whack up a link?
