No. He’s a CM. He usually plays alongside a DM like Gueye or Delph. Or another CM like Gomes who will share the defensive responsibilities of any midfield duo.

Today, he had Sigurdsson, who is naturally a CAM, so he was doing the bulk of the defensive work himself and for 60-70 mins he did it admirably.
Isn't a CM a defensive mid in many ways? He should be capable of playing alone in mid field without a specialist DM protecting him. It's not as if he has any attacking virtues as a footballer.

No. A CM can have many different roles but they typically contribute to phases in attack and defence. If you play with a CM, depending on the system you should nearly always play with another CM or a DM to balance the team. As it was Davies and Gylfi through the middle yesterday, and Gylfi's natural game is to push forward, it left Davies exposed and outnumbered against an incredible midfield 3 of Ndidi, Tielemans and Maddison.

There were times when we looked solid but then we started to be overrun in midfield. Everyone could see it but we didn’t seem to change. When the subs came on we were still being overrun and outpaced. We have missed Gana.....

No point adding to what’s been said. We’re cursed every one of us
One point to the numerous posters moaning about the goal time
It’s a minimum of 3 minutes a minimum
Sidibe got injured and was lying down having treatment for 90 seconds
No issues on the times, know your rules and football

Because there was no proper holding midfielder on the pitch and we were starting to get overrun in the middle. Say what you like about Schneiderlin but he can dictate the tempo of a game, something that neither Davies or Sigurdsson can. Assume he was just trying to see the game out with minimal damage.
It also helped keep Leicester occupied in the middle to free up space for Sidibe on the wing
ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha ha ha He couldn't dictate a letter...if he did he would write out his resignation in shame of £100,000+ a 'kin week.

Horrible result to take that.
Finally Marco tried something different and it seemed to work for the most part.
Again though, his inability to change things bit him on the backside eventually. Around 5 minutes before their equaliser, i said that Iwobi was shattered and it left sidibie exposed when he was bombing down the right flank. How Marco couldnt see it ill never know. Luis Boa Morte was having about 2-3 conversations with him in this time? What was they discussing and why did Marco just stand with his hands in his pocket like he couldnt hear Luis? Baffled.
Few minutes later, Vardy who hadnt had a sniff against the almighty Mina (im beginning to like him after writing him off), then played on the shoulder of Holgate where sidibie couldnt get back to cover, fair play to Vardy it worked.

I felt strange afterwards, when your luck is down it really is down, but i felt proud for the most part. Had silva been pro-active instead of reactive with his substitutions he may of saved his job yesterday.

This 100%.

This poll for the Leicester game will close on Thursday at 6.34pm so if you've not yet voted, there's still time, but not as much as usual due to the quick fixtures coming up.

Did feel it was slightly out of order that the team went down the tunnel. Sid and Pickford the only ones to come over.

They must have thought they was going to get booed and swore at like at Burnley but we actually clapped them yesterday, especially Sidibe who actually comes right over to us

He looked so gutted though didn't he. Cracking performance from him yesterday (mostly).
