Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

As I've said, I admire what they did last season. Any team (except the rs) that can break the hold of the so called big clubs deserves some respect. But for me, this season is going to be a massive let down for them. I can't see them having a hope against Europe's best teams.

Shut up Dave.

They proved that winning is a habit, team spirit and a will to win will always succeed, but sadly losing is also a habit and after they won it and all got big fat wage rises the hunger is gone and they will be playing Championship football this time next year.

I have a feeling Ipswich Town were relegated the season after winning the First Division in 1962.

Our own title winning team in 1928 (Dean's 60 !!) did not do so well. Very low the next season and relegated 1929-30. Set up the promotion, league and cup in 31, 32, 33 though so bounced back brilliantly too.

Wow. People on here so eager to put the boot in. They could finish 17th this season and they'd still be a more successful club that we've been for the last 20 years. We should focus on our own club and not sound bitter because a so-called small club shook up the league. Best thing that happened in the league for years (and Newcastle went down!).

Ah, I see :)

Were we relegated the year after being crowned Champions in '28?

I think it's only City who have won it then been relegated straight away mate.

Interestingly with Ipswich. They got promoted from the second division. Won the league the very next season. Did OK in Europe. Got relegated next season conceding 121 goals.

Makes sense as to why my old man is bald.
