Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

Claudio Ranieri is class personified

The tits in the Leicester fan base calling for his head should be ashamed of themselves

He gave you a League title and a trip to the knock out stages of the Champions League FFS, you should build the bloke a bloody statue!

Mad how quickly they've become self entitled gobsh.....

They could have been ace about this. Winning the league should have been enough for Leicester fans, more than enough really. But no, they want it again and again.

They're Leicester City for christ's sake.

Yes, but Forest stayed up comfortably for years after that, had a few more contending seasons and I think won another trophy or two. Leicester are right back where they came from in one year.

I took 10's a few weeks ago, 5/2 on paddy power, 2/1 on some...the further they go in the CL the less they'll be up for the prem.

Im pretty sure Morgan is actually cursing himself for scoring that second goal of theirs at Rams place. They all know it would have been better for them to go out.

I like Leicester. But the fact is their brilliant title would be tarnished if they would go down. They would be remembered not only for making one of the greatest football achievement of all time but for the fact that they won it and went down.

They have paper thin squad. Imagine them playing in CL and not having to fear for their PL place...in that perspective it must be quite torturing for their fans.

I will put my money on Derby today.

He is indeed class, but seems a bit too nicey-nicey. Which is fine when everyone it's all happy, but I can't imagine him geeing them up when they're facing yet another defeat.

'Calling for his head' is just ridiculous, but suggesting a change of manager is not. Build the statue, say thank you, get someone else in who can turn the ship around.

I don't think winning the league and then getting relegated (this year or next) is a great burden to bear - especially not for Leicester (but maybe for more illustrious sides). They can never take that away - as they say, Casablanca style, "we'll always have (2016)"

We have to be up their. A few times we became champions football stopped entirely and the whole world had a nock for few years.

As soon as they go out of the CL they will need to get a few good results on the spin otherwise he will be gone.

Ranieri will always be a hero but the money involved for dropping out of the league, sentiment has to come second. If we had won the league and been in the same situation as them the season after, he would be gone already.

Mind you the fans are complete jockeys calling for his head, the owner needs to pull the plug as a last resort when he thinks the situation requires it. I hope they get the 4 or 5 wins he needs to save him that fate.

I think it will make it even more special. Have you ever seen the film "awakenings" with Robin Williams. A load of patients who'd been in a coma for years were given a new drug, and by some miracle they woke up. They were able to speak, think, even walk for the first time in years. However, the effects didn't last and they went back into a coma. But they had that special time, it was a miracle, and then it was gone. That is what this would be like for Leicester. The stuff of legends.
