Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

Not sure they won't trouble us. They are still a good team and have had a reasonably tricky start.

There isn't much between the top 7 excluding City.

Even with the money spent by the lesser teams there appears a bit of a gulf to the rest.

Hope we win all our games before City so it will be a top 2 game.
Liverpool and Arsenal fair enough but add in Hull, Swansea and Burnley I'd say its far from a tricky start in the opening 5 games

We'll have faced yous, City and Spurs in our first 5 now thats a tricky start

Don't get me wrong, I have full admirarion for Leicester's achievements last season but, looking at the season so far and the Best Four Teams In Each Country League about to start, I can't help but think they will be the worst reigning champions ever.
Does anyone care to discuss this?

It might be us.. 1928 Champions, 1929 18th of 22, 1930 relegated 20th, 1931 won Div 2, 1932 won Div 1

Looking at the Everton results we dropped like a stone at the end of the 1929 season - 4th on New Years Day and 8th with 10 to play we managed 1 win and 1 draw and lost the last 6 to finish 18th. Dixie Dean's absence for part of the season must have been significant though.

To be fair I don't think Lee Mason favours anyone.

I think he's just a genuine imbecile. Good, old fashioned incompetence.

We seem to get a fair few imbeciles though, so it's not really cheating with Gueye being equal to 2 or maybe even 3 players, just balancing the books of karma finally

hows the chap yeplaced him with doing?
He's been injured for most of our games and from the little we've seen of him he looks a downgrade, to be fair most would. Unfair on him really to compare him to Kante. We've been playing a guy called Amartey in the centre with Drinky and he's done well (except against Lpool)

ahh i see. Strange you didnt go for gueye who was your 1st choice before kante last season it seems.

how good exactly is mahrez bar the highlight reel? does he track back or has more of a free role?

I dunno mate, maybe we would've done had Walsh stayed with us. Looks good for you boys.

As for Mahrez he's improving slightly on that part of his game but he's not comfortable defensively. Going forward I genuinely believe he's as good as if not better than anyonein the prem including Hazard (strong words I know!). The technical ability he has will see him outgrow Leicester and go on to the likes of Barca, Real or PSG

I'd take Mahrez over Hazard in a sec. I just wouldn't let Mahrez take pens.

amazing signing!

what did you make of walsh there....was he heaad of scouting so went to watch players after theyd been monitored by your other scouts?

seems odd we hired him as a dof and not head scout....

also hows that winger you got from brum? gray i think, looked good there but no end product...

slimami made a good start...looked to me that he had chances to score for sporting from others laying them on a plate.
