Leicester-The Worst Reigning Champions Ever?

I'll reserve judgments until i see how they do with a normal squad injury list and without the 3774848253 penalties they were awarded last season.

They are playing in the Champions League and they have won away from home, credit where credit is due.
Leicester fans could say that while we are joint 2nd in the Premiership we have played no one of any note, my answer is we have played Premiership teams and beat them. Everton, and Leicester, can only beat the team's put in front of them. Things will get harder for both of us but at the minute we both are winning. Fair play.

Far too early to be starting this thread.

Personally I could see them pushing for Europe, definitely finishing top 10, but it will be tough balancing the champions league. That said, given how the league has changed so quickly with the managers and players that have gone to the top clubs, even if Leicester played exactly as they did last season they wouldn't win the title in my opinion.

It was a perfect storm for them but storms pass. To stretch the metaphor though, that doesn't mean they're a sinking ship. They can still have a great season.

I think top 10 and quarter finals of the CL is the main. Well thats my hopes anyway! Will be difficult juggling multiple competitions but in fairness they're fairly short journeys and we have home fixtures in the league after all of our away CL games. Bit of a bonus!

I'd like to say I don't care what happens now because we've won the league (something I never thought possible) but I'd be lying. I was furious after saturdays performance, not so much with the result but its the first time in a couple of years that we lacked effort.

All in all it's a pretty amazing time to support my club

Its hard to answer that as a collective. Depends which of us you talk to as you have the group that feel we should be challenging for the title again because we can attract a 'better standard of player'. Then on the opposite side of the scale you have fans saying we should just look to avoid relegation and have fun in the CL. Personally I'm somewhere in the middle, top 10 and throw everything we have at the CL would please me.

Its just such a unique situation really as it was such a massive overachievement that it taints peoples expectations. We should really secure ourselves as a premier league mainstay much like Stoke have.

Sounds massively optimistic but we could do something in this champions league. Players like Mahrez and Vardy can get you something out of nothing

To be fair to you guys, you have one more premier league title than most other clubs and 3 more points than everton in the CL.

Would you agree that your ambition last season was simply to stay up with anything else a bonus? This season it needs to be getting back into a europa league place off the back of it i think. If you finished 6th and kept european competition then you have done rather well.

Yeah definitely. The footballing world mocked us for hiring Ranieri and he was a massive favourite to be the first PL manager to get the boot. We've always been a yo-yo club so we should look to use last season to stabilise us in the premier league. European football is amazing obviously but I wouldn't say the fans will demand it every season. We have to realise that whilst last season was incredible for us it was a bit of a freak! Some moons must have aligned up there somewhere lol
