Atmosphere was great .... thought we were the better side in the second leg overall.... you never know if we can avoid the two Spanish giants and Bayern we may have an outside chance of getting through the quarters. Funnily enough our best chance of going through may be drawing Man City where out style does not suit them.

The 4th placed team no longer loses out if a club from their country wins it, the way Spurs were denied a place when Chelsea won it.

It means there would be five English teams in the CL next season.

I have been looking as well and can find nowt to either confirm or deny it

Right, @Khalekan from reading of the UEFA CL regs, if the UCL winner doesn't finish in the top 4, then #4 team gets bumped into EL, and thus the EL allocation is effectively reduced by 1.

So 4th would be EL (and 3rd would go into the qualifying phase) , and the two remaining domestic cup holders would still qualify normally.
