Fake News. If you don’t think decisions have already been made then more fool you. Even so, they offer a contract and set a time limit - or you don’t and Baines is pro enough to honour the Clubs wishes and wait till the season is over.
Whilst I don’t agree with Dave’s all out assault on Baines, I personally don’t think he was extremely professional in those last two seasons under Martinez. I’ve watched almost all of our players since Moyes left spend at least some of their time half-arsing it and I don’t exclude Baines from that. a bunch of losers with crap attitudes.
His was even more annoying for me as we were in a bad bad moment and if he was as great a guy and a pro as most fans say he is IMHO he would’ve shown more effort than he did in that period. The comments on sky just exacerbated the issue at the time.
In short i hate all our players of the last few seasons. Only Richy, Digne and the youngsters that have stood up this season are currently excluded. However I am fully prepared for them to make me hate them too over time, as it’s the Everton way.

I thought we signed a French left back as cover for Digne?
Or is that another one of those "typical Everton" signings like Magauy Gueye / David Henen / Tarashaj who is going to sit around taking wages for 3 years before we loan him out to the French 3rd division.

He's another one duped by the coaching staff and Kenwright into thinking that Baines is part of the DNA of the club. In reality he's a born and bred Kopite who even swung across to Blackburn to support them rather than Everton; a fake who's fostered a "cool" image of liking indie bands and godfathers of Mod which has done enough to persuade the feeble minded that he's still young enough to play for the club.

Employ winners, not no marks like Baines.
