Seen him in the last derby under Martinez. NEA.

I saw how Martinez "managed" a team live, from the Top Balcony in his final season. A rare visit, granted. But holy cow, it was obvious from about 15 minutes in exactly where Spurs would score from. They duly did. About an hour later.

Super Martinez did nothing to adjust the balance. It was frightening how chronic he was.

His defensive problems stemmed form the fact he didn't have the players at the back to progress to the football he wanted to play; he successfully adapted Moyes' back 4 in the first 18 months, but they lost their nerve when the boo boys got in their backs and collapsed near every game. That's player deficiency. A lack of professionalism.

He was and is a superb attacking coach, especially counter attacking.

Surprised at this, always had Dave down as a big Bainsey fanboy ;) lol

Sourpuss doesn't like emotional attachment so he's pushed Leighton aside 'cause he, like many of us, understood a few years back that LB3's time was slowly coming to an end...and he didn't want to face the heartbreak.

He hates the things he loves most, hence his general disdain for Everton and other Evertonians.

It's a tough way to live life that only the most passionate can maintain...

Good ole "BBS" gave you the best 18 months of football since Kendall.

Baines gave us a few crosses.

If we had the best 18 months of football how comes his best league position was worse than Moyes’ best, and how come his average league position was worse than Moyes’ average league position?

How you define ‘best’ clearly doesn’t consider football aspects other than possession passing.

If he doesn't sign the contract I don't know if I can deal with dave chatting wham for a reaction. Hugely disrespectful towards one of the best players Ive seen play for Everton.

Good in tandem with Pienaar.
Useless defender.
Won nothing.

...that just about covers it.
