Years ago got asked to make some plinths for an artist to put pieces on for an exhibition. Some free standing and others of various shapes/angles for wall displays. Knocks a dozen wall and half dozen free standing ones up and off ye go, artist happy as.

Roll on 4 years and goes the Tate in the Albert Dock. Here's an exhibition of the artists on the stands/plinths I'd made. So technically I have already had an exhibition at the Tate. True story.

It would feel fitting in some ways if today was to be Leighton's last game for us. Absolute class act both on and off the pitch but a reserved and private individual who has never appeared to enjoy the spotlight. I don't know the man, but I doubt he'd be upset going out with virtually no fanfare.

With that said, I'd love to him to stay for another year and to go out with an almighty roar from the Goodison faithful instead, but that may be more my wish not his.
