yep and my guess is that it won,t be 15m upfront - UTD are known to stretch transfer payments over the contract length - meaning it has an impact on us buying other players were we need to have plenty of sponds upfront.

Fergies bothched it if he had first refusal on them 3, as good as baines is, and he is excellent, Felli and Barkley would have been better signings given utds squads strenghts/weaknesses, I also think Felli is more important to us, and Barkley will be if moyes doesnt ruin him. Would still be gutted to see Baines go, and despite Pranjic's arrival,if it happens, I think Moyes would start the season with Distin left back.

So, if this does go through and Baines does go, then I presume the decision would have been Moyes'; his he selling while Baines' stock is high, at the end of the day he his a left back (a fantastic one at that) and could be replaced at far less cost the someone like Felli

fair enough mate, that would make more sense, not sure i agree with moyesy there, but iwould understand the logic behind the argument, for doing that, the biggest shame is you get the impression Baines would have stayed loyal had he been asked to.

No it doesn't. We sell a player the total fee due to us is amortised and can then be offset and effectively spent.
