With all the rumours there does seem an inevitablity about it, but i wonder why Man U would spend £15million or thereabouts on a left-back, when it wouldn't appear to be a priority position for them.
 
I really hope some fans don't ever have a pop at player's loyalty again the way some are flippantly saying sell Baines so we can buy others

I wish he stays in Everton.. He is probably my the most favourite football player on this planet.. But well.. one man isn't bigger than this club.. I will miss him, but seriously, can we have both Landon and Stevie and other imporant new incomings if Leighton or Marouane isn't going out for big money?
 

So, based on Moyes' interview yesterday, this development has come up in the last 18 hours? Because he said yesterday that no contact had been made between either club. Seemed relatively upbeat as well.

Thats whats confusing me mate. Moyes is saying NO CONTACT, but other people are 100% positive its a done deal. If it was a done deal, why isnt he a Man United player yet? Why hasnt Sky or BBC got wind of an official bid for Baines. I dunno you know, something weird going on
 
Not seeing Baines at left back will be weird

Him for not staying though, what makes it more real is UTD have just sent one of the twins out on loan haven't they? The left back.. I'm sure.

Sheedy will confirm but Agents and clubs can put in place non legal binding aggrements with a view to sale without having to tell you or me. The hard talk is done weeks in advance and then it,s case of managing YOUR expections by the club in a sense, dependent upon the player moving in or out.

The average not ITK fan is the last to know always has and always will.
 
It's the fact that United already have a top left back in Evra that makes this one of the most weird suggested tranfers IMO. Why would United spunk £15-20m on a leftback, when they clearly need different positions as a priority?.

If this all is true, i can imagine Pranjic being the short term replacement at left back.
