Ok. Fair enough. I would disagree with all except Rose, Davies, and Bertrand. Possibly Marcus Alonso but this is his first good year and he's playing for the champions elect.

Why does he never ever cross anymore? Makes a run, gets it and passes it backwards or sideways. Never see him really whipping one in.

Exactly. He's probably the best left back I've ever seen playing for us, but we should have got a replacement at least a year ago. If you looked at Baines now, knowing nothing about his past history, you'd say he was an average Premiership player and no more.

Van den Hauwe was the best we've seen in the modern era.

Worried that the fact that quite a few players can fill in at left back (Barry, Funes Mori, Galloway) means a proper replacement is fairly low on the list of transfer priorities next season. Can't see Baines playing every minute of Europa or the cups.
