I love Baines but the sad reality is he ain't going anywhere as he has no ambition, as harsh as it seems its the only reason he stayed at Everton for so long . Now he is finished anyway and should only be backup if he stays .

..I would think he’s showing more ambition staying here for a season than making big bucks for 3 years on easy street in MLS.

I’m a big fan of this fella but i’m also of a view we need wholesale change, especially to a ponderous defensive unit. I have no issue with Baines staying, he’s still terrific in possession of a football but I hope we are transitioning into a much more able set of defenders.

I meant throughout his career , he always seemed to be comfortable in his space and afraid of something new .

Think its dangerous to get rid... should be kept and a new left back brought in to phase him out.

Unless we can get that Max lad from Germany.. or a superstar....

If Silva decides to bring in a younger replacement, I reckon it would be a good idea to try and move Baines on.

Same goes for the rest of the mutineers from the Martinez, Koeman and Unsworth regimes.

Fantastic.
People who leave, like Rooney, Lukaku, Arteta, to win trophies are absolutely slated.
Baines sticks around because he loves playing for us and he has "no ambition".
You honestly could not make up the hypocrisy of our fan base.

the American's wont understand his indie ways

best to stay here Leighton

Pure crap. As if the English are so entitled to believe they invented or are the standard bearers for everything.

One thing y'all did invent - how to take the most powerful and modern army of its time, and lose (not just lose, but get straight up beat down) to a bunch of farmers carrying Grandad's shotgun.

Scoreboard.
