Too slow now to play wing back so we cant have him in the side if we play a 3.

Too slow now to gdt in the side if we play with a high line.

I'm unsure as to what purpose he serves.

Good question but has a role as a bench player, have to say though if he went would not miss him.

We're saying he's too slow now, but my worry is he'll just hit the point of no return next season. Full backs do seem to decline rapidly. Ashley Cole and Gary Neville literally just fell off a cliff and couldn't perform in the league any more. We can't afford to be caught without a proper left back again. Sorry Cuco, you did your best, but you ain't the answer.

I’d bin him off irrespective of Rose.
And take your buddy Yagjielka with you.
In this important next 2-3 years of recovery from the damage wrought by Fatty Koeman and Gormless Walsh, the unparalleled leadership qualities of Capt Jags will be vital.
And nor do I believe the importance of our Blue Chrimbo festivities should be too readily dismissed: Capt Jags' blue Santa role in these, and Bainsey's head elf equivalent, demand they stay around the club. Tubby Ashley's naughty pixie 'who ate all the pies/full English breakfasts?' role is, however, a lot more tenuous.

I think as a club and fanbase we are too sentimental. So called "bigger" clubs tend not to hold onto players several seasons after their careers have been in decline. Should have been sold to utd when they were interested, ditto Jagielka.
