He's an awful player who has the odd half decent game. We should have got rid years ago.
If he's that awful how come EVERY manager he's ever played under talks very glowingly about him. Why would they all have picked him if he had no qualities, given their failure to get results added to their chances of being sacked?

Of course Osman has always lacked pace, and he's not the strongest on the ball. But let's face it, if he did have these facets of his game to add to what he does have he'd have been an Everton player for just a couple of seasons and would then have been sold for multi-millions.

There's a thread on here linking to Joe Royle's recent twitter interview. To a man, contributors to the thread praise our ex-managers devotion to Everton and his abilities as a manager. Doubtless some of these same contributors are in the anti-Osman camp. Anyone who has ever spoken to Joe on the subject of the current Everton squad will know that he is one of Osman's greatest admirers. So, now knowing that, are these contributors likely to change their opinions of the great Joe Royle?

I don't care how many managers, ex-players or so called pundits love him and talk about how great he is for the dressing room, my eyes don't lie to me.

I've watched Osman for over 10 years now, he's crap, always has been crap and always will be crap. Sure he has the odd game, maybe two or 3 a season, where he's the best player on the pitch but so does everyone. He's not a top level footballer and shouldn't be getting in our team, period.

Andy Van Der Meyde disagrees with this.
Ibrahim Bakayoko disagrees with this.
Per Kroldrup disagrees with this.
The Larissa side disagree with this.
Our first league win at Fulham disagrees with this.

Haters gone hate, boo boys gone boo, the blind wont see and I know whos who.

Thank you, person who is much more clued in than Ossie's fellow pros and at least one England manager. If only you were in charge of Everon in 1998...

I speak as a person who's watched Osman his entire Everton career. He has never impressed me nor the majority of Evertonians. Same with Hibbert. All this wishy washy "he's a fantastic servant a born blue" is completely irrelevant to the debate. The debate is is he good enough to be starting for Everton football club? The answer is a resounding no and it's been a no for about 4/5 years.

Furthermore, for someone thats been watching Osman for his 11/12 year service, only the last 4/5 years? Theres some booboys that boo'ed Osman when he turned out next to Wills Ralph laaa.
