Thought he got rediculous stick last season when he was playing pretty well. Of course his week link last season was players passing him quite easy but overall the rest of his game was making up for it as his England call up proved.

Now can a player (i know he's aging but) really go away for summer and come back such a shadow of his former self?? I wouldn't of thought such a decline was possible but it's what I'm seeing from Osman. He's been truly awful all pre season and season start.

Hopefully we bring in a CM to better cover/challange fellaini and Gibson because ossie is certainly not looking up to it. His role for me would be bench and cover for Barkley in the acm role only

Seeing Osman and Hibbert in the same team is completely saddening.

I'd hoped after his testimonial we'd never see Hibbert again. At least finally we all know he's second choice right back, thank God. Has to be his last season.

As for Osman, if he is still a first XI player after the transfer window closes that says it all for our chances this season.

I think Barkley has supplanted him now - Midfield three of Gibson, Fellaini, Barkley.

Osman is our first backup, but that means he'll still get plenty of matches.

Was thinking this, after 11 years he's no longer assured a starting spot regardless of how crap he plays.
