Would love to see Ossie coaching the Everton kids at some level. Think he'd be absolutely perfect for it.
Stubbs out - Ossie in!

Osman is in the team because he is considered to be worth his place...not because he is a good professional or a nice lad.
Tony Hibbert is both of those things but has dropped away from a regular starting place.

Osman is a very good player appreciated more by professionals than fans.

the great servant/local lad argument, absolute zero to do with his ability

It was like that with Neville. I'd be a top professional who's first in the gym every morning too if Everton were paying me 60 bags a week to do so. I'd still be just as sh*te as he was an all.

He really would be great coaching youth i imagine- everyone mentions how much fun he is blah blah blah
Whether him or Hibbo would have the technical expertise to coach at the top level we'd expect or not, there should always be rooms for Blues at Everton, so whether that's assistants to whoever, I'd love to see that.
All of this counts for everyone but Stubbs. Because he has no eyes.

There is no way on earth that Osman's performance on Saturday could be construed as "magnificent"

Constantly caught in possession, dithered on the ball in attacking positions and slow to get back once possession was lost.

Second half he was alright though. The first half was an abomination of a performance like.

After McCarthy came on, he seemed to pick up.

Probably no coincidence. McCarthy took over Osman's role, allowing Osman to step up the field a bit and support Naismith with the diagonals.

I think Ossie takes a lot of unnecessary stick on here. He's out of position and out of form, but the lad has done a great job for us over the years.
