People raving about him yesterday, what game was you watching?

A good goal, but apart from that was very slow getting the ball moving (as always) and even lost possession in dangerous areas a few times. Too weak to be in central midfield and Martinez saved his ass by dropping Barkley back, a player than can actually hold off someone aged 10+ with his strength.

FOOTBALL

Leon Osman is set to create Everton history by making more Premier League appearances for the club than anyone else.

The defender is three games away from overtaking former defender David Unsworth's record of 302 Premier League appearances.

"To be close to making the most for Everton is something very special," he told the Liverpool Echo. "It's something I'm very proud of."

That was some finish for a "defender", on the weekend!

I for one thought Osman did well when he came on yesterday. For me he's a key member of the squad - he knows and understand the club. For a senior player and "England International" there's none of the big-time Charlie about him. He came on, did a job and went off smiling at the end.

For whatever you want to say about Moyes, he has left us with a group of absolutely first rate senior pros at the club in Osman, Jags, Distin, Howard and Baines to name but the main core.

He is great to bring on as a late substitute, his playing style has the ability to change a game.

But he is woeful when he starts as a CM though, and he can't be considered to be adequate cover for that position in any shape or form.

To be fair, he brought us a certain amount of balance when he came on. Osman can be an important player for us, especially when we not playing so well and he comes off the bench

It is your opinion, I respect that, but Osman is anything but average let along gash!
