how can you criticise a performance or mistake without it taking a toll on your opinion of him as a player, I've watched him underperform for nearly two seasons, and treated with ludicrous favouritism by Moyes, and now Martinez to a lesser extent, I know you are used to dealing with sycophants on the Kop but I prefer to be objective, he isnt good enough to start regular for us, simple as that.

I understand your frustration, but it seems that you should be directing it at those in charge of the club. No one is suggesting that Osman should be starting at this stage in his career, but if your team is in the position that it must rely on him, that is not his fault. Nevertheless, even at this age, you can't fault his application. Every time I've seen him this season, he's worked his arse off. Can't say that about many others.

I would very much like to see the stats of osman working his arse off, while you can't say that about many others, I would like to see were he comes in average ground cover per game compared with other midfielders. Over the last two seasons there have been other options, that's were the real frustration comes from, granted there should have been more options but for our disgraceful board, but that doesn't filter down to Osman being exempt from criticism just because he doesn't pick himself

The stick he gets really surprises me. Think he does a good job. Could do a lot worse in midfield.

The amount off mistakes he makes in a game, he is experienced and trains everyday you don't mind one or two but you think his football brain would be better.
He is great to have around the team for morale he's great crack but after this season his chances in the first team should be limited to cup games or squad rotational player.

The amount of stick he gets is unjust IMO! Both moyes and Roberto have relied on him quite a lot, there must be footballing reasons for that.

He does frustrate the hell out of me when watching him, and my opinion is he should be used from the bench but injuries always seem to shoe him in starting more games than he should.

Ossie has had some special moments for us, he's blue thru and thru and I hope once finished he's treated with the appreciation he deserves.
