TBH he combined our midfield nicely when coming on - we had an effective midfield with his link up play , and two side splitting passes on out to Coleman - McCarthy worried me in the first half never seen him! ok in the 2nd half!

We'll miss Ossie when he's gone,when you consider old Ginge's penchant for playing him on the wing for about 150 career games(he's doing the same now with Mata at Utd),the games he's played in his correct position in general he's done great for us over the years IMHO.

I think this is so true, I'm sure I was not alone in thinking before he came on as sub that this was exactly the type of game that he could come on and change things. It's not that he is super mobile himself, but we look more fluid and appear to have more options going forward when he enters a game in the last 30 minutes.
He and Naismith are the ideal couple, Osman has done this for years and Naismith seems to be developing a similar knack - good to have both as options from the bench.
