biggest snake I've seen at everton

Never really rated him as a top player. Moyes played him. I remember martinez saying he was one of the most important players for him. But he got 1 england call up and i cant remember being linked away with any club (usually our better players move on).

Thats the players. Nice touch. Crap shot. Average overall but What did he do to become the snake many people call him. Maybe not allowed to post on here?

..I think he got two England caps. Fine footballer.

Very good footballer, as soon as Mattinrz dumped him we went rubbish. Him and Pienaar were the glue of his first season and as soon as he dumped them the feee flowing football went. Invariably our best form under Moyes came whenever Osman was in the middle of the park. If he had pace he would have been at a top side no doubt. His best goals collection would shame anyone currently at the club (Rooney aside).

Last season under Moyes he averaged 50 touches a game, 85% passing accuracy, 2.5 tackles, 2.5 interceptions, 2.5 clearances a game, 1.6 headers won per game.

He'd be our best midfielder with those kinds of stats now.
which is why I never really believe Stats I didn't make up myself

Immensely under-rated. Every summer we all, on this forum, predicted what our best XI would be with the new signings (or the rumours)... no-one ever had Osman in their best XI

Not Arteta in the middle of the park then?

Interesting to compare those two players as they're both quite slight builds, but Arteta was absolutely tenacious with the ball. Regularly stood up to stronger players through superior technique and body positioning, meaning he was hard to dispossess and if he was he drew a foul. Osman, on the other hand, had the physicality of a wet lettuce. Easily the weakest player I've seen in the RBJ - so yeah he was a good technical passer but the opposition centre mid basically treated him like an U-16 player.

Reliable & probably one of the most under rated players I have seen at Everton.....always had a goal in him too....
