I think the easiest way to sum up Osman is to say he would have been a very good player...if he played in Spain or Italy. He had very good footwork with the ball but never really tracked back and was absolutely dreadful when it came to protecting the ball.

Also numerous games, often away against grock teams, where he repeatedly disappeared completely for 90 minutes
Ossie's been a sound player over the years and even last season when he played he was better than most of the other tripe on show ( watch Newcastle at home as a good example ). Age and injuries catching up for sure but he will see this season out and then that will be that. Can still play a big part in a successful season imo, coming on as a sub here and there.
Scholes the great midfielder no doubt about it , but alas he would admit he could not tackle!

He needs to be advised of his nearest post office so he can draw his pension.
I agree he is past his best now injuries took it toll on Ossie, but I bet you he will be more effective than Gibson on less salary maybe!
Both are bit part players this season imo!
Gibsons contract extension was another blunder, along with other oldies in our squad picking on Osman is a bit unfair in the scheme of things imo!

Well said Joey but add to the errors in my book is keeping Hibbo on. Ossie, Gibbo and Hibbo need to be moved on and retired from Everton.
No doubt some one has the number of minutes Gibbo has actually played compared to how much he has been paid and how much time was spent as injured.
