What do the Mail think we should have done for them? The wages they have picked up is crazy, Hibbert for example has picked up an obscene amount of money for a handful of appearances the last few years, it makes me laugh all this great service talk like they've been doing us a favour., I wish them well for the future, but I think a testimonial each is more than enough.

There was a period 5 or 6 years back where he was first name on the teamsheet, incredibly consistent and capable of moments of absolute quality.
He is probably past his sell by a date by a good couple of years now but he has been a great servant to the club and deserves all the compliments going.

Osman and Hibbert have had testimonials, what more could they potentially want? Howard got a send off with him not having a testimonial it would appear. Not as if Osman and Hibbert are two who are always in the media and like the limelight either?

.....not talking about Osman but I can never understand why the term 'snitch' is so vilified. Those who report wrongdoings are brave because they chose not to bury their head in the sand. The world would be a better place if the public had less tolerance to crime.

Clubs talk directly with agents and not with players, so laughable how they are shocked

Yep, from the comments section of the DM article:

"This story makes no sense. Typical club-bashing. These chaps all have agents. The agents would have known weeks in advance whether or not they were likely to get new contracts or whether it was a non-starter. I agree that we, as fans, should have been forewarned in order to pay our respects to some amazing servants.
