That's a very contradictory statement. He was a decent player albeit in patches and got praised by other players. He scored some cracking goals and I really don't get this aggressive attitude towards him.

Would play well in maybe half a dozen games a season and would be utterly useless in all others, especially against the top teams. It should never have been acceptable during an era when we were regularly finishing top 8 consistently. Osman was a bottom half of the table player in every sense yet he was never binned off like he should have been, he was in fact often chosen over players who were better than him or at least had the potential to be. The fact that he's local should have absolutely zero bearing on whether or not he was given new deals or immune to fan criticism.

Osman pushing Ross to unt - only if we had been as ruthless with him when he was well past his best he was a good servant, but another one to the list of many who stayed to long - Ross is three times the player he ever was now at 23 yrs old!

Absolute nonsense. Good player, kept the ball moving and live. Developed by the academy he gave excellent service. Opinions like that show a complete lack of football know how.

I don't understand how so many people seem to know him so well that they feel well qualified to speak about his character.
