Concerning this supposed court case... Johan Derksen (journalist) just mentioned it in a Dutch football show: Voetbal International. He is extremely well informed, he has close connections to Joop Munsterman, who is the chairman of Twente. I was surprised that Twente were willing to sell him in the winter, with them still fighting for the title and CL qualification. Also the 10 million euro's bid isn't that high considering they bought him for 5 and compared to players like Luuk de Jong and Ruiz who they sold for more money. Under normal circumstances there is no way Munsterman would sell him for only a 5 million euro's profit in January. So, this makes me believe that what Derksen said is true and as I said, Derksen is usually right about things and has good connections with the chairman. Derksen said that this incident happened during his Feyenoord time, Twente is a decent club with a good image, Munsterman doesn't want Fer to ruin that. According to Derksen Fer also has bad knees and was involved in more incidents in Enschede. The court case was about him doing something during his Feyenoord time though. Derksen knew what he did, but he wasn't willing to go public about it. It seems quite clear though that Fer is in trouble and has to deal with a court case.
