Flashbacks to my days as international autoclaims adjuster. Brits are top 10 most annoying (bad word with C here) honestly. lol

But yeah same - I've done damage accidentally too - was too tired and didn't pay too much attention, brushed a neighbours front end with the side of above-mentioned FIAT, left a note and he called me; we had a cuppa and chatted, filled out a protocol for insurance saying I'm in the wrong and that was that hahah. No idea what they get out of being problematic or just flat out rude for no reason tbh.

I worked for a personal injury solicitors for years mate and I`d say that anywhere up to 80% of the claims, were inflated or in the case of personal injury, were non existent.

Which was why I`d never claim, unless there was a real genuine reason - proper injury and damage.

Yeah I've noticed and disputed, we had a firm we worked with for us and it was honestly laughable when we talked "off the record".

Honestly same, I feel bad when I use personal/medical claims for when I actually can and am advised to do by the insurers themselves, can't see claiming crap like this.

Also on topic and as per above: a shop near where I live sells fresh produce and they have some of the tastiest grapes I've gotten since my grandad used to look after the yard a bit more, years ago.

Another time a young lady followed me into a carpark to apologise for hitting me as I turned in. I honestly didn't notice anything, it was such a slight glance, but when I looked I saw the back pushed in slightly around the bumper mount and crazed paint. It was my mg midget so it was noticeable and would need repair.

We cheerily swapped phone numbers and I thanked her for her honesty.

Later on when I phoned up to get more details her sad answered, full of vitriol and anger that I had bullied her daughter into this - nonetheless I got the insurance details from him and it was all fixed.

Amazing.

All I can speculate was that the story she tearfully told daddy to get sympathy was entirely different to what happened!

Putting this on topic, I eventually got the insurance payout, fixed the damage myself (took a fair few days) and used the sum to pay for some restoration elsewhere on the car that was beyond my skills.

There's horrendous roadworks near me. Yesterday it took 10 mins to travel the last two bus stops, so today I got off the bus early and walked. A small sense of satisfaction as I calmly walked past the stationery bus. Dear reader, I beat the bugger. :)
Beat it again today : smug mode. :) Another 6 weeks of it though.
