Good evening all,

As you can read I'm a Lille supporter and was brought here thanks to an Everton fan who posted on our forum (http://allezlelosc.fr/forum/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=103853&sid=1d8a3a8c712fcedf362247bd04ca0b50).

Didn't take the time to read through all the pages but it appeared to me that you were loads to come over so I was wondering, do you know how many of you (approx) will make it to the Stadium?
The good thing is that you're going to teach us a lesson in Supporting your team. You might aswell encourage the usually silent ones to stand up and sing for Lille. Therefore thanks a lot lads.

Are you planning on stopping in Lille for a bit to enjoy the city or is it just a return trip without any stop?

Looking forward to being Thursday 23rd and hope it will be a cracking game!

Apparently 15,000 if not more my friend. We've sold out our 5000 allocation today but plenty more have been buying from your website for weeks now and large parts of the stadium are sold out. Get ready for a sea of blue.

Welcome to the forum! There's going to be thousands of us in the Grand Place all day long!

Thanks a lot! :) Sounds all good to me!

Expect around 8 or 9,000. the Grand Place won't have seen anything like it - and we come in peace...and full voice.
Most fans staying overnight or two nights.
Lille is my French side and I have been to watch them play.

How cool, sweet as! Hope you'll be treated well. Usually no problems whatsoever with supporters except for Lens, Paris, Marseille but other then them, everyone is welcomed as I said.

Now I might try and join you all for the atmosphere. Will be way cooler than anything we've seen except the time we won the Cup and League in a year (2011). Epic times but hey, we got an English side in the EL so that's good!

Must admit, I'm a Sunderland fan (do not burn me, I said Sunderland and not Liverpool! haha) when it comes to PL.

Most of us dont mind Sunderland mate. Not the worst choice you could have made!

Looking forward to the trip mate, and hopefully a good game.

Where do you recommend for Beer and Food?

Welcome to the forum.

Depends on the type of food you want and what price you're willing to pay.

My advice would be to avoid the Rihour area close to Grand Place because it's usually expensive even if you'll find loads of bars/restaurants.
From my experience, some can charge you around 15€ for a pre-heated dish... Usually beer is not to bad there though.

When it comes to beer you might know or you'll discover that we tend to drink strong beers. And in the last few years prices went up because of -new taxes. Anyways, there's a small "pub a like" closeby to the Grand place -taking it as your meeting point- where pints are always 5€ which is a decent price nowadays in Lille. It's called The Chopping (https://www.facebook.com/pages/Le-ChoppIng/444822748932842).
Otherwise you can head to Wazemmes if you're some kind of an adventurer. The place is totally different from the center and you'll have a couple of bars around a parking/market square.
A must-go for beverage would be Rue Solférino. Not far away from Grand place and you'll find loads of bars and pubs but the places don't open till 4 or 5pm I would say. At night if you want to party, that's the place to go.

Regarding food, I would say any place except Rihour. We've got a McDonalds and a KFC at the train station -Lille Flandres- but I guess that would not be your first pick. If you want something more typical just wonder round and pick a place as you go.

Hope you got a bit of an idea of what to do. ;)

Buy them off the French mate like almost everyone is doing.

First download HotspotShield (it's free). When you do turn it on.
Then go to this website - http://www.grandstade-lillemetropole.com/fr and create an account.
Then go to BILLETTERIE (means tickets).
Click on the link to the Everton match, you should see our badge.
Select your Category of tickets and how many you want. Then click on the red button.
Then it'll take you to a 3D blueprint of the stadium. Select the seats you want from the ones available.
One you do confirm your seats it will add them your cart. When you've chosen click on the red button at the button which takes you to your cart.
The next bit will be the shipping details. You fill in your card details and address and such.
You get the choice of tickets through the post or e-tickets. I'd go for e-tickets because it's cutting it fine now waiting for them in the post.
Before you click confirm and go to the transaction, turn HotspotShield off.
Click confirm and it should go through, sending you an email.

If you download a translator software for you PC that can change the pages into English, it makes it much easier. Hope all that helps.

cheers mate, couldn't figure out why it wasn't going through but turning off the hotspotsheild did the business, nice one

what is the locals bar around the corner from the scottish and irish pubs?
Cannot remember for the life of me

Have a ticket myself but my brother is a season ticket holder with no credits at all.. He had booked a coach with Thomas Cook which relies on getting tickets through the club so he's asked me to find out if the rumours are true about some tickets being kept for Thomas Cook customers to prevent both Thomas Cook and EFC losing money. Does anyone know if this is true?

Match tickets secured off Lille direct, and I'm getting the train to London wednesday night, then the 0800 Eurostar to Lille on thursday morning.
Staying overnight in Lille,, then the 19:30 Eurostar back to London on friday night, and then the last train back up to Liverpool with a few bevvies of course !
It should be a good party atmosphere, Lille looks a great city !
