Actually, I'm going to say it as it is, and I apologise in advance if this is not how a moderator should post, but it's a tough love lesson in my opinion.

If I was in a foreign country, by myself, but my family (wife and kids) was elsewhere but couldn't join me because of my financial situation, the last thing I would be doing is going to Wembley, or having a drink/drinks out on my birthday. In fact you wouldn't see me near Goodison, or any away game until I had my family over here, and I could support them.

I know that's harsh, and it's not personal, but that's the way it is.

Most of us have had hard times in life, I started with nothing, had holes in my shoes and my car used to run out of petrol - but I had priorities and determination.

I'm not saying Sergei, you haven't as I don't know you, and I know it's tough, but 11, 12 hour days should be the minimum if you have the opportunity, and your sole focus should be on re-uniting your family through your efforts. Then you can stand proud as a Father and husband, and enjoy the finer things in life, like Everton at Wembley.

I and GOT will support you in that ambition.

I was crying laughing at you monsters until Esk's post.

Bad men, all of you. But I heart you dearly.

Except you Mr Esk. You're a fine upstanding citizen and a shining example to both myself and all these other ballbags.

Adieu Mon Ami xxx

Really? What do you you know about me and my family?
I know that I do a big mistake going against you because you are a big boss here, at GOT.
But you easily saying "if, if, if". You have no idea what I am experiencing and I don't blame you but how you are saying what I should do and what I shouldn't do?
If not Everton games, there is a big chance that I would do suiside.
You know nothing about my family and all the things. How you can say this things?

Mate, first of all I am not against you, nor are you against me.

Forget about me being a moderator on GOT, that means nothing, this is one man talking to another man, hopefully friend to friend.

I have no idea about how you feel, but there's a thread on the Everton Forum which we call the "depression thread", but it's much more than that, it's where the community come together and help each other, in the same way that many people have literally reached out and helped you in real life. We'd do the same with how you feel, we are here to help you.

If you are genuinely suicidal then there's help at Samaritans on 116 123 - a free phone call, or there's people here who you know and trust, pick up the phone to them.

However sometimes in life you have to hear things from others that you don't like or want to hear. That's happened to me probably at a much younger age than you are now. But mate, it was the best advice I ever received, even though it was hard.

No-one here is against you, you must realise that by how people have helped you, but part of the help is by telling the truth. DO everything you can do to advance yourself - I mentioned months ago about writing to all the biggest companies in the region - I'll help you do that if you want.

I can't be clearer than that, we're willing to help you as the community already has, but also think about how you can help yourself.
