'Knee-high'? What game were you watching?
He caught him just below the knee. Why quibble? It’s a nailed on red. Probably one of the most nailed on reds all season. And it was completely deliberate. I’m in a Whatapp group with a bunch of Arsenal fans and they all thought the same. It’s embarrassing to claim otherwise. We should be better than that.

Hardly surprising, especially when you read the posts of all the pissy blues buying into their narrative.
Make it about the tackle and everyone will forget about the offside goal.

It helps when people understand the actual rules that apply. Not what they think applies.

It wasn't even a tackle, he cleared the ball. Everything after was accidental contact.
Not sure how long you've been watching football, but I certainly know when a player sees the opportunity to clobber one of the opposition and pretend it was part of a clearance. It used to be a perk of the job for defenders, but these days you can't usually get away with it.

Shame that

They looked vulnerable on the break and we had some gilt edged opportunities that were squandered by poor decision making or technical deficiencies. Doucoure and Harrison as per usual were the main culprits. Harrison, my god, for all his running and effort is such a limited player in the final third. That might have been the worst performance I've ever seen by an Everton player

We needed to get Garner and Alcaraz on the ball in those situations, and we missed Jesper for his decisive passing. He's not always accurate but he generally has a picture of what he wants to do when he gets the ball and releases it earlier. Alcaraz I thought was exceptional all game, can see the quality he has

Mykolenko mom for me, has Salahs number in these derby games and defends him really well

Contact with the ball was on the ground! It's not a matter of being better than anything! I'm not denying that he caught the RS, but when a player is going forward at full speed, he CANNOT suddenly come to a full-stop. That is where the law, as currently framed, is wrong, because it takes no account of the speed of the game, and 'collisions' as a result of two players moving at speed in the same direction. Take a look at these screen shots. Who initially had a high boot? The RS was so late to the tackle that a 'collision' was inevitable. Tarkowski was leaning back at the point of contact with the ball, which meant that as he cleared the ball his leg would naturally rise.

It was a clearance. Se my post and the still frame(s) in my post #2,827. Show me the intent to injure in the third frame I posted...

100%. People would have been all over Dyche for not making any subs.
I agree about the changes being far to late. Moyes has taken all the plaudits lately (and rightly so) but last night in my opinion he was partly to blame for the defeat, we were under the cosh for a long time before he made any changers, I was screaming at the tv long before he done anything about it, what does he expect them to do in such a short time.

He's endangered the opponent whether he wins the ball 10 times before smashing into his leg.

Have you played football? Every single pro has said it’s a nailed on red. JT could easily have cleared the ball without making any contact with Macallister. He just chose not to. He wanted to leave one on him and he does it all of the time. If you can’t win the ball in a non reckless manner then you shouldn’t challenge for it.
