Tarkowski should have been sent off for Mac Allister tackle - PGMOL

No comment on the off side yet like.
Didn't the PGMOL put out a clarification mid game as to why it wasn't a red card?

Have you played football? Every single pro has said itā€™s a nailed on red. JT could easily have cleared the ball without making any contact with Macallister. He just chose not to. He wanted to leave one on him and he does it all of the time. If you canā€™t win the ball in a non reckless manner then you shouldnā€™t challenge for it.
Does anyone really care what every other pro has said.... majority have their own bias and also talk alot of BS.

But anyhow, was it a red... yes. Was it a typical Derby (or even big match) challenge in where a player goes to leave one on the other player... yes.

This type of challenge leaving one on the opposition happens most games whilst not all of them end with such a bad still which will circulate on the RS / media pages for years!

Tarkowski was lucky to stay on the pitch, but glad he went in hard on him / them and still man enough to explain himself at the end of the game!

It is a contact sport after all

I was playing football from an early age. Played in the I Zingari First Division and the Kirkby and District First Division in the 1970s (I DO know about fair tackles and bad tackles just from that league alone!). Only finished playing Sunday League at the age of 48. I reffed Sunday League also. I DO know what I am talking about.

And by your stupid metric in your last sentence, Tarkowski should have let the RS take possession of the ball! What planet are you from?

It was a red of course it was.

Was there this much outcry when case did Nulty, McMahon tried to do Ebbrell, Gerrard two footed Naysmith, or Van Dijk went over the top on Onana?

Itā€™s a manā€™s game, it was a bad tackle, but these holier than thou Kopites and their client media need to get over themselves.

you can tell itā€™s a generational thing, almost as if they are offended by everything, ashamed of nothing.

But yeah, nice one Tarks.

:coffee:

He caught him just below the knee. Why quibble? Itā€™s a nailed on red. Probably one of the most nailed on reds all season. And it was completely deliberate. Iā€™m in a Whatapp group with a bunch of Arsenal fans and they all thought the same. Itā€™s embarrassing to claim otherwise. We should be better than that.
Oh well, if a bunch of Arsenal fans think it was a red then it must be. Cos we all know what good judges they are! How do you know it was deliberate? Did JT call you up and tell you? Or are you a mind reader?

I can infer it from his body language, previous behaviour and experience of playing and watching football for 40 years. We can get into epistemology if you like but I have a feeling you might be out of your depth.

Tis why I watch non league local football when possible... not for break leg moments, but it's raw, no VAR, mouth open wide stuff. Deffo value for money

Think it is fairly obvious to be fair it should of been a red, wouldnt of taken long to get this done.

My guess is something that obvious they just bite the bullet and go ahead with it

Ref Watch on Sky doing their best to get Tarkowski retrospectively punished . As for the dubious offside goal turtle head said it was the correct decision to allow the goal. I reckon Pickford was lucky to escape a card though for kicking Nunez
