Its just like Everton to get into Europe without any strikers isnt it, good news with Spurs in for Palocious are rivals for sixth are being picked of one by one. Hull are dropping like a stone, and are fixtures after the next three games are very kind up untill close to the seasons end.

Good point, it'll certainly weaken Wigan who are a good side.

I'm not worried about Spurs, certainly not this season. They'll figure out a way to mess everything up.

True, just for that game though. I'd love to see Vaughany, Cahill and Fellaini going at them. It would be great to see.

These are the types of players you need for Derbies.

Know what you mean about Vaughan . Its a crying shame the luck he has with injuries . I felt and still feel that if we can get him firing on all cylinders he can be an awsome player

I hope so mate, I really do.

He could be a top striker for us and one Evertonians would love. He gives his all and he's not scared of anyone.

We just need to keep the kid fit which isn't an easy task, we'll have to wait and see.

Wobbily head is playing it smart though, hes saying the goal is to survive this season, if he does anything better he will be a genuis no doubht.

Its intresting how hes reacting with a bit of money, Bellamy and Palacious for close to 30 mill. Goes to show you some managers should never get wedge Alladyce was the same.

Allardyce has never been given a chance with money to be fair to him. He wasn't given enough time at Newcastle. It was actually the best start they'd had in years yet they still wanted rid. Typical Newcastle.

Harry has spent more money than people make out, I think so anyway. He's loved by the media, that's all. But I do think in time Bellamy and Palacios would be good signings for Spurs, they are battlers and that what they need.

Not this season though, I think they'll struggle for balance this season. Maybe next season they'll be contenders.

with Liverpool having lost there league lead to man United by Mondays derby kickoff... + all the extra pressure the waiter has put on the reds + our no standout strikers (albeit a balanced team as of late), logically there can only be one outcome.....

They will come at us like animals, maybe like never before...

If there's no send-off i'll be suprised.

if we pull this win off... i'll be speechless

This year the reds play us desperately needing to win as theyre on the verge of breaking there 20 year league drought.... Can we really see them letting US stop them ?

its a nightmare scenario

Maybe true, but 30 mill for the pair of them though thats just Chicken Oriental, safe to say we wont be bringing in any big name signings looking at whats going on.

The markets mental.

Let them come at us like animals as I am confident we have enough animal instinct ourselves to give as good as we get . We MUST show passion for that blue shirt like never before . We must be an 11 man army and not take a backward step . We must fear nothing .

Your so [Poor language removed] negative it brings tears to my eyes . I would hate to be you mopping around depressed as [Poor language removed] about a match which no one yet knows the outcome . Lighten up FFS

I'm not negative all the time I'm just not overly confident when people are talking about sticking Osman upfront or hope that Anichebe will come to form or show some class infront of the league leaders like we're going to cause a threat with that...I mean, come on.

Baines will be dropped, Yobo in and we'll play for the 0-0, why risk playing attacking football with a weak attack?

I have faith we can get something from the games but it all depends on who wants it IMO - if Liverpool want that title they've got to beat us and stats show they usually do.

I know what your saying and I have to confess the stats are hard to deny but....................I believe :D

All may not be well behind the scenes though, Stevie G faces his mornings with Porridge, while Rafael is at odds with the owners once more, not to mention i beleive said Americans have to come up with a bit of Wedge this month.

Im sure Ferguson is laughing his ass of, only that lot.

Looking at Liverpool's side I can see why Moyes would think about bringing Yobo back in. I’m a big Baines fan but Liverpool have a massive height advantage over us. They’ll pin us back at one point and that’s when our lack of height will be tested, especially with Hibbert and Baines up against Riera and Kuyt. And at set pieces where we’ll only have Jagielka, Anichebe, Lescott and Cahill in there.

The change wouldn’t make us overly negative, Lescott isn’t a negative fullback by any means and we still have Osman, Arteta, Cahill and Pienaar in midfield who are all positive attacking players.

Dropping him for one or two games wouldn’t be an awful move, just an intelligent tactical move when you look at it. We can always bring him back in after the first or second Liverpool game. I don’t want it to happen but I can see the reason for Moyes doing it. If we had Fellaini and Saha it wouldn’t be a problem but without them it potentially is.

I agree. But if it comes off well and we get a win/draw Moyes just wouldnt change it back to having Baines in the side IMO, he's too stubborn and likes Yobocop more than Baines.

If that happens I wouldnt be surprised if it was the straw that broke Bainesy's back because he's done nothing wrong and will probably want to leave in the summer. Moyes has already admitted he's pissed off with being on the bench.
