I would be delighted if Moyes would try this line up and let say Yobo is fit as well.

--------------------- Howard ----------------------------
---- Neville ---- Yobo ---- Jagielka ---- Baines -----
---- VDM ---- Arteta --- Castillo/Gosling ---- Pienaar
----------------------- Cahill ----------------------------
--------------------- Anichebe --------------------------

With VDM crossing from the Right and Baines on the left, plus Pienaar and Arteta supporting both side crossing not to mention Neville as well, this line-up has real potential.

I would prefer Castillo before Gosling in this case as the midfield is all attacking minded, so we going to need a Defensive midfield to hold the midfield line to support the attack and defence, so for a attacking midfielder like Gosling is not so suitable unless Moyes is going for a Gang-Ho all-attacking game against RS.

Enough joking of a dream starting line-up with the player we still got, this is the most likely line-up Moyes would used:-

--------------------- Howard ----------------------------
Hibbert/Neville --- Jagielka ---- Lescott ---- Baines -----
-- Osman --- Arteta - Castillo/Neville/Gosling - Pienaar
----------------------- Cahill ----------------------------
--------------------- Anichebe --------------------------

This is the most likey line-up it would really depend on where Moyes would play Neville, whichis more likely to be like today match with Anichebe coming in.

Although I did feel sorry for Hibbert but I would prefer to play Neville in the RB and Castillo or Gosling in the middle along side Arteta.

What do you guys think?

Mikel really needs to take his recent form into these two derby's. I love him but even I will admit that he seems to hide in derby games. Hopefully this time it will be different and he will be the general in that midfield.

Also, Pip seems to have finally gotten his act together this season. Hopefully he will replicate his performance against United and kick that up another notch.

Im scared, excited and nervous. Its gonna be tough without the Fella and Timmy show, lets hope Vic can step up and take his chance, make yourself a hero Vic, nows your time.

I am gutted The Big Man got booked yesterday . I mean the ref was poor in my eyes but Screech gave him little choice after a series of fouls . Granted the actual Booking was soft but it just gave the ref the excuse he was looking for . I now think that his ban and his subsiquent omission will see us knocked of our game some what and it would have to be Liverpool we play next to find out if we can make up for him not being present .

I am devasted that the only option is Victor . He plainly is not good enough for the premier league let alone good enough for us to put enough hope in him scoring against a defence as astute as theirs . He is a striker whos strike rate is shaded by midfielders with the same appearance rate . The lad just looks totally lost to me everytime he comes on and sulks for lot of that time . I guarantee that he will be moved on in the summer . It must kill Moyes that he has to rely on such a weak battering ram such as the Victor . I would play anyone but him I really would but unfortunately we havent a choice in the matter.

You need goals to progress in anything and I just cannot see us getting anything against Liverpool at Anfield with the team and formation we will now have to field . Without the big man I can see us folding and dying YET AGAIN . The only player I KNOW will not give in is Stevie P who is fast becoming captain material . What a player we have in him . Outstanding

I cant see us scoring really...from a set piece - maybe - but they have a great defence and a great goalkeeper. Happily so do we, so i think we can keep a clean sheet.

Gotta stick with Hibbert at RB and Neville in the middle with Mikky.

I never thought I'd be saying that about Neville but he's on top form right now. In addition, Hibbert knows what it's like to play in a derby match so his experience is needed.

I'd agree with you there, we've found a good balance in Arteta and Neville. Seven clean sheets in the last eight games proves how solid we've become.

Hibbert is also doing a good job.

I agree, but if he is up against Reira or Babel ill be quite worried...lets hope hes just got to mark Kuyt. And Leave Reira to Baines.

Hibbert is a far better defender than Baines.

Riera will play and Hibbert usually plays well against natural wingers, especially left footed wingers.

Hibbert is better at tackling - but i think he would get beaten by the more skillful players...

He's a better defender, one on one. What part of defending is Baines better at?

Erm......hes probably better at marking - Hibbert is terrible at that...

...I think hibbert is a great defender - i just dont think that he would do well against pace and skill - one dummy and he'll be on the floor.
