Holy christmas, I'm not reading the 96 pages to catch up. Someone highlight the best of parts please.

Polish tottie, Israeli tottie, various forewomen of the various countries tottie, the bizarre appearance of Catherine Tate & her norks, Hannah Waddingtons independent norks …. And the Swedish winner looking to be off her face on some chemical substance (allegedly)

pardon me, I clearly wasn't clear. I meant specific to this thread and any cross over. There seems some scorched earth and high temper seared into recent memory.

…glad it went well. Terrific effort by all concerned.
As an outsider, the whole thing seemed very positive for the City for the whole week. I have read more than once in the past how the City gets an unfair bad press, particularly from London centric journos and broadcasters. Seems to me that this was an opportunity to show what baloney that is and it was taken wholeheartedly.

It was great that the city of liverpool (small 'c', small 'l' ) did well out of it and that the visitors had a good time, but bad that the rs  cun, sorry cult (very small 'r', very large 's' and 'c' ) had to have their egos massaged yet again.

As a TV spectacular it peaked in the 90s with the Irish diddley-diddley dancers

Missed this thread last night, wife came home and I had to watch it with a real person instead of on here which was disappointing.

I actually think the UK song is ace, been singing it all morning. However either the sound production wasn't great for her song or her voice wasn't strong enough. Plus for some reason I don't think she came across as particularly likeable but maybe that was just me.

Belgium best tune for me, proper early nineties disco vibe to it.

Armenia and Israel were notable for visual presentation and performance. Or I'm just a big perv according to the other person on couch. Its a fair cop I suppose.

Good, hardworking folk in hospitality who have had a terrible time over the past couple of years, who have finally had some good fortune and you begrudge them that and call them spivs?

Give your head a wobble.
Read what I said. The people who run the bars, restaurants and hotels.

They've raked it in while a few of the crumbs off their table have gone to the workers who they exploit for a pittance.

You should write for The Guardian.

That was literally the night I experienced with some fun tunes as intermission.

Yes, the people who run these establishments. You're acting like they're profiteering energy companies or supermarkets and the like, for god sake.

They are people trying to make a living like the rest of us and you chastise them for having a good couple of weeks. Good one.

Pfft … let’s discuss this

Was Catherine Tate p!ssed … and what was holding her norks in?

I love Eurovision, but GOT is where the true event is. I missed @Jimishorts for most of this year's event.

@Street end man played his now traditional running commentary on irritating his wife throughout the evening.

Great contributions from all, but @navidson was my star of the evening - wanted his punt on Belgium to land, sorry that it didn't.

My youngest kid loved the Norwegian entry, Mrs. BT rated Poland. I thought the Czech effort, sung largely in Ukrainian, deserved better. The ill-advised English rap possibly letting it down.

Roll on Sweden, anticipating Luxembourg running away with it all.
