Howard - 6
Much much better but free kick should've been saved.

Hibbert - 6
Solid but was caught out a few times on the counter which led to midfieldercovering him.

Stones - 8
Outstanding didn't put a foot wrong and in the last 10mins never led a HOOFBALL charge.

Jagelka - 9
Him and Stones dealt with everything but he just nicks it with that WONDER STRIKE!

Baines - 6
Not his best game but our midfield being so narrow and lack of left sided midfield support never helped.

Besic - 7
Quiet solid game and when he was given the opportunity to break did some nice link up.

Barry - 6
He was on a tightrope from minute 1 due to Ref changing his mind after having a quiet chat to FA official Mr Gerrard. Kept it tight and near scored the winner also.

McCarthy - 7
Brilliant kept Lpool quiet all day and supported Hibbert all day. Boy needs a new contract ASAP.

Mirallas - 5
Had a slow game but unfortunately pulled up when he could've been the difference. Get Well Soon.

Naismith - 6
Lead the line and kept working but had a poor games when it came to linking up and keeping the ball.

Lukaku - 7
Game plan wasn't the best but not his fault did not stop working hard. Had our play been better, we would've seen more from him.

Subs:

McGredy - 5
Looked lost from the bench and on the right. Switched off so many times and should've been switched with Lukaku.

Browning - 7
Excellent! Strong and quick his introduction pushed Lpool back. Look out Coleman!

Eto - 5
Didn't have much to do but his presence led to Liverpool panicking. A layoff to him on the last free kick would've been a better option.

Martinez - 7
Strong lineup and without the injury to Mirallas, his game plan may have worked. Strange sub times but introducing Browning changed the game.

Our captain scored a belter in the last minute v the vermin to silence the Kop.

If you aren't happy, well the I don't know. It's " only " a draw. Yes they will jibe about the usual " when is the DVD out", but I don't care.

Exactly. That goal gave us something we havent had for a while, spending all day Sunday watching MOTD over and over again, mixed in with a bit of Goals on Sunday, with 2 mins to go we would have paid anything for a tap in from 1 inch...and we got that...unbelievable goal

The Barry incident was a pen but ref didn't give it because he realised he should have given Lukaku a pen too (or the linesman said something to the same effect). Fair enough imo.

has anyone read this?
http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/liverpool-icon-steven-gerrard-hits-4336575

Steven Gerrard produced his best performance of the season on Saturday – then warned his critics not to write him off just yet, writes Janine Self in the Sunday People..

he looked to be back on top form against Everton.

Unbelievable. Gerrard was GARBAGE. Apart from the goal, he did nothing. He barely moved from the centre circle all game. If that's the best he's played all season, then he really is finished.

Looking back on it, we both should of had a pen, barry should of been off, Henderson needed to be booked for constant arguing with ref and they shouldn't of got 'that' free kick whether the tackle beforehand was a foul or not, we did not foul Balotelli,

We did well to get a point as we didn't really create a lot of chances, would of prefered to see ETO'O instead of McGeady cause they would of [Poor language removed] themselves sooner

I went to bed at about 90 minutes, 1-0, - 11.30pm ish here. I went around all day today assuming we'd lost and didn't bother checking the final score until about 5.00pm when I had a look on my phone app.

1-1. It was almost as good as winning, and what a goal!

There's been a lot of neg stuff on these pages about the way we played and how we were set up by RM, but I didn't think it was that bad.

When I got a stream up and heard that Jim Beglin was co-commentator, I thought wtf. However I was pleasantly surprised at how impartial he was (not the first time either tbh). He reckoned it was a penalty on Lukaku so Fair enough.

Sniff it kopites.

Oh god...I was hoping not to have to talk about the media reaction...here comes the fume!

MOTD glossed over whether it was a foul on Balotelli for their goal, in fact they blamed Baines without seeming to even watch the replay. Also never even replayed Barry getting munched 5 seconds before that, never mentioned it.

MOTD quoted the Liverpool manager over the Barry handball incident, used the same words exactly that he "saved it". Quoted him.

Then their post-match only focussed on Brenda's interview and ignored Bobby's.

BBC ran an article the next day, as they always would, related to the derby. It was about Gerrard of course, and him being "not past it".

Newspapers....don't get me started.

And they only showed 3 replays of Jags' goal on MOTD....it was clearly worth skipping the 0-0 game at the end and showing 45 replays ;)

Martinez gone by Jan
Turn it in 2005/2006 look it up.. We've played the champions contenders for the league a team that have come up and will stay up and palace bogey team

If u think bobby will be gone by January why was Moyes in charge for so long after so any [Poor language removed] starts to the season

Browning on tbh this shows Martinez has no respect for the match situation or the fans...

Disgraceful from lukaku

Browning on is an insult to the fans

After we lose to Man U are we gonna be in the bottom 3?

I view villa and burnley as 50/50 matches considering martinez doesn't seem to think putting up resistance to the opposition has much value.

I was laughed at but we will have a relegation battle on our hands and the problem is we are not battling

Tbh we deserved nothing here

Unbelievable - but lucky - strike.

Tbh I feel no better for that goal going in

We've been disgraceful today and all season

Not really mate we were a disgrace for the whole match a lucky strike doesn't change much

Kev seemed a touch pessimistic yesterday

Is it me or did Balotelli rake Barrys achilles in the lead up to their goal?(probably is just me with my inherent hatred for the vermin!)

Yep! But it's just one more that will only live on in our memories, because the rest of the world completely ignored it. He also dived for the free-kick they scored from 5 seconds later, but he cost money and he sells papers so let's not say anything bad about him eh?
