Hibbert - 6
Solid but was caught out a few times on the counter which led to midfieldercovering him.

Stones - 8
Outstanding didn't put a foot wrong and in the last 10mins never led a HOOFBALL charge.

Jagelka - 9
Him and Stones dealt with everything but he just nicks it with that WONDER STRIKE!

Baines - 6
Not his best game but our midfield being so narrow and lack of left sided midfield support never helped.

Besic - 7
Quiet solid game and when he was given the opportunity to break did some nice link up.

Barry - 6
He was on a tightrope from minute 1 due to Ref changing his mind after having a quiet chat to FA official Mr Gerrard. Kept it tight and near scored the winner also.

McCarthy - 7
Brilliant kept Lpool quiet all day and supported Hibbert all day. Boy needs a new contract ASAP.

Mirallas - 5
Had a slow game but unfortunately pulled up when he could've been the difference. Get Well Soon.

Naismith - 6
Lead the line and kept working but had a poor games when it came to linking up and keeping the ball.

Lukaku - 7
Game plan wasn't the best but not his fault did not stop working hard. Had our play been better, we would've seen more from him.

Subs:

McGredy - 5
Looked lost from the bench and on the right. Switched off so many times and should've been switched with Lukaku.

Browning - 7
Excellent! Strong and quick his introduction pushed Lpool back. Look out Coleman!

Eto - 5
Didn't have much to do but his presence led to Liverpool panicking. A layoff to him on the last free kick would've been a better option.

Martinez - 7
Strong lineup and without the injury to Mirallas, his game plan may have worked. Strange sub times but introducing Browning changed the game.

Bit harsh on Mirallas. More like an incomplete rather than a 5. Hard to judge someone who goes off in the 25th minute.

and lo did the bells on the jester hats stop jingling, and the horns on the viking helmets did go all flaccid and floppy,
and as the toffees in the other end did become much animated with limbs and stuff, God smiled down and said "maketh sure you do the kopite [Poor language removed] at Goodison"
 
Watched MOTD, did not show much. But IMO we should deffo have had a penalty when Lukaku was brought down. AS to Gerrards free kick, if Howard had just been a couple of feet further to the left I think he would have got a strong hand on that ball and palmed it away.
 
Only just seen Stevie GBH FK, Howard should have gotten to that. Another goal he should have done better for, he is playing much better but my god his positioning is getting worse.
