Of course, we're looking better and there's no reason why we can't ask them serious questions. After all, sides with worse players than ours frequently do. However, it's them. So 2-1 Liverpool, I just can't see anything else. The heartbreak doesn't get any easier, though. In fact, it gets worse the longer our run against them goes on.

Dinge is Robertons equal at lb
After Van Dijk I’d take any of Keane, Zouma and Mina above there cb.
Richarlison has turfed Firmino further down the rotation for Brazil and on current form this season is on par with mane and salad.
Pickford is better than Allison.
And sig would suit them to a T.

I got told to take my blue tinted glasses off on Saturday after saying JP is better than crater face, which he is.

This is what I mean by a free hit.

Our good run has put us in place to go there with confidence but also in a good position in the league. It's not like we're trying to avoid getting dragged down and we're only looking up whatever happens.

Oh mate. They're undefeated on 33 points after only 13 games, scoring 26 and conceding only 5. We are already 11 points behind them.

Trying to do individual player comparisons is silly. Put it all together and they are a better side than us by a long way.

Doesn't mean that we can't get a good result of course. We have a good side and we have a decent enough chance. We will need some luck on the day as well.

The thing is we dropped big points at the start of the season whilst getting to grips with Silva's methods.

You would expect us to turn atleast 2 of those results in to wins if we played those sides now which would have us in around 5th and only 6-7 behind them.

I think we are closer in quality than they would like to admit.

Stick Mane or Salah up front for us with Rico out wide and we are evens.

That's the challenge for Brands in Janaury, forget midfield if funds are tight spend every penny on a quality CF.
