No idea how we got out of this game alive, Everton were basically pathetic for 80 minutes.

Still a point is a point! Would have taken that ok day long from the beginning.

No mate, the RS attack has been on fire and the blues were deliberately set up to stop them. We allowed them to have possession and play the ball around. They had 3 shots on goal, one of which they scored having fouled our LB. We delivered a defensive masterclass, scored from one of our 2 shots on goal, and gained a deserved point. Now repeat this 100 times until you can recite it verbatim to any RS.......and keep a straight deadpan face......that’s what I’ll be doing......

Poor display in general, but in terms of what we set out to do - we've got a good result.

Thought Williams and Kenny - in particular - were superb.

We restricted Liverpool to 3 efforts on target. Yes, we rode our luck, but overall deserved a point purely because of how we defended.

That's a tough game out of the way with a point taken. Not exactly how we wanted I imagine, but did it in the end.

Kenny has been getting better and better with each game, proper defending today and a scouser, can't ask for more.

Reading some comments here though you'd think that the rs battered us, can't think of a many/none clear chances they created. Yeah they had a high shot count but it was all 25y punts.

Bit of skill one time in the game undid us, stupidly from them got us the result, game plan worked end if the day.

Exactly! If we'd go toe to toe with them we would have got done about 4-0. We came to defend and did a good job.

Been at work and couldn't swap my shift and just seen the penalty incident. No idea what they are moaning about, if it was the other way round they would screaming for a pen and going ballistic if one hadn't been given. About time we got one against them after all the dubious ones they have had over the years.

Just watched Klopp interview on sky brilliant total meltdown.

Couldn't be happier, that is better than the point for me. The fact he left Coutinho and Firmino out suggests he saw this as an easy 3 points which makes the dodgy pen and 2 points lost even sweeter.

I'd much rather get a point out of a game that we were going to lose rather than nothing.

Sam had you into Europe didn't he? then you binned him for Bilic and Sexy 'West Ham' football.
How did that work out?

No argument here, I'd also much rather take a point out of a game we were getting dominated in. However, I'd take issue with my manager setting us up to not have a go at least against our fiercest rivals. Take the penalty out of this game and I wonder how happy you would be.

Sam had us in Europe after finishing twelfth and by winning the fair play, so I'm not sure how indicative that is of how well we were playing. Bilic then took over and lead us to Europe through the table, narrowly missing out on 4th and generally giving us fans the most memorable season we've had in decades. Our woes are mostly down to our Board, but that's by the by.

If the advice you are referring to is "respect the point", that's a commonly used phrase by Sam, generally before big games.

My day started so badly due to the weather making it impossible to travel to the game but it ended nicely. Maybe the new breed of refs ain't accepting anymore of those brown envelopes from the RS...........Have that you horrible mutant tits. COYB.
